We have HOLES!!!!

we have holes! not much more to say...the fence has officially been started. we had very happy helpers, with little shovels and little wheelbarrows, one backyard pool with some water, lots of lemonade, a golf club and a small baseball bat....i dont know what else we really could have needed.

????????

i just spent about 45 minutes uploading pictures from our fun memorial day weekend.....writing things we did....trying to get the stupid pictures to go where i want them to and what do i have to show for it............this...........what you are reading right now......UGGGGGHHHHHH! i dont even know what happened....

Memorial Day Weekend 2008

i must say we had a wonderful weekend, despite the runny noses and the delay on the backyard fence...all in all it was a good one just too fast. cope has officially graduated from the baby swing and is side by side with eli.

we manage to survive the pool on saturday....its was a little chilly for the first day swimming. not so bad once you went numb, but eli was a champ about it, purple lips and all! he made a few jumps off the diving board, swam around and then retired to the baby pool (better known as the much warmer, pee pee pool) with his brother. it was not an ideal day for kick off the summer with the pool. it was overcast, chilly and it sprinkled for a few seconds, but it was still fun! we spent a good bit of time at the pool over the weekend as well as in the backyard with some of our own toys.

this would be a picture of why i have had a headache all day....eli in a marching band with cymbals, they are made of very large metal pot tops. extremely loud and extremely annoying, but yet he is so happy and excited, we finally settled on being in separate rooms.

and thanks to the wonderful aunt jenny, i will be able to successfully post this, without uploading all the pictures again..although i probably never would have, i would have just called it a day!

this is for jason

i heard you have been keeping up with our world on my oh so entertaining blog here......soi just want you to know that, yes eli wrote his name on that letter ( it doesnt matter that he has the shortest name in the world or the easiest as far as learning to write lines and a dot).....yes he did draw that peace sign on his letter....and he even typed the letter out. i told him what letters to push on the keyboard and he typed it himself......how does that make you feel?
Im just kidding, carolyn had told me you commented on him writing his name......he did draw the circle for the peace sign and the E....i assisted him with the rest... just had to give you a hard time!

weekend fun

unfortunately i have no pictures from this weekend, you will just have to take my word for it. we had our first big brothers meeting, which went really well. the boys seem to have a lot of fun at chick fil a, playin at the playground.
and to top it off jeff and i took the boys to the greek festival downtown. i wont tell you about getting lost and walking all of main street with no stroller, because jeff "knew where it was" and there was no reason to find out information about the event...... but we had a blast (for a pretty penny) once we found it.
the boys rode on this ferris wheel, it had four buckets....all caged in with bench seats and they shut the door behind you and lock it once your in. now i thought for sure we would have a screamer in our cage.....we would have to beg the man to stop the wheel and drag the kids out.....but i was wrong, they loved it. they sat side by side looking out the windows with the biggest grins.....well cope wasnt grinning on the outside, but we know he was on the inside (for those who know how seriously intense he can be)they would wave to us when they went by.....and here go hormones i almost cried. they looked so old and all grown up...on their first ride together and they didnt need us........

morning sickness and popsicles

with eli, the morning sickness was water too early in the morning.....with cope the morning sickness was chicken....but couldnt really complain about either. well i thought i was gonna slide by on this pregnancy with no morning sickness and all of a sudden it hit me like a ton of bricks. oh i am gonna have to be quick this is making me not feel good thinking about it.....well its eggs. i was cooking the boys breakfast and thats it....no eggs for me for a while!i have never been so turned off by food in my life!

so we made Popsicles, to enjoy on a hot and sunny afternoon at the new park in our backyard. well the summerberry blast posicles were
fun to make and delicious, but it was gloomy and raining. it didnt see
m to bother the kids any.

aft
er eating the yummy treats, we had to fight off the pirates that were attacking our porch....that went on for some time and i am not sure what they were talking about, apparently they both speak pirate talk....i am just not in tune with my inner pirate.

and finally we have had our window fixed after about three weeks....it was a little more costly than i thought it would ever be, but at 11:00 at night how do you break in to your own house when the kids are sleeping and the doorbell doesnt wake them up?

self sufficient three year old

it appears that i have one of the most self sufficient three year olds ever, or so i'd like to believe. Eli is currently potty training Cope, who is about 19 months old. Now Eli was the easiest child in the world to potty train. He woke up...he put on his big boy undies and it was done. very few accidents, no training, no convincing.....he just did it at about 2 and a few months.
well now he is taking on the task of teaching his brother. there is a talk before hand, some encouragement in a really high voice and i am not sure if Eli
is imitating me or if he is just excited. there is some dancing around then a short demonstration by Eli on the big potty. and then it begins, eli removes Cope's shorts and diaper, talks him through it, sits him down and when it happens he claps and cheers and calls me into the bathroom and brags about Cope, and what they have done. then he takes out the removable tray that catches the wonderful deeds and they go to the big potty. they say their goodbyes as Eli explains that it will go to the sewer with the alligators and the flushing begins.....they continue to the sink and turn the water on really hot and get the soap to rinse out the tray, but the water is too hot and no body wants to put their hand in it....so i turn it on cold and put the tray back while they wash their hands.....then the whole thing either starts all over or they go there separate ways.....now Eli knows full well what is going on, but the funny thing is I dont think that Cope has any idea as to what is happening.....but all Cope has to do is say the words and they are at it again.....or if Eli just feels like Cope needs to go potty, he takes it upon himself to start the ritual. i am not sure if this is normal, but if Eli actually potty trains him.....i will be amazed and shocked and very lucky!

at the request of my sister, i have started a blog! she said just push start...some stuff and start bloggin and i thought well thats seems easy..... i have been trying to get this done since yesterday. it wouldnt except my email address, apparently i already have a blog and dont know about it, or somewhere in the world someone has my name, because its not the first time my email is declined because it is already in use...
maybe i am in bad spirits because i have a cold....and i am pregnant. they dont mix. its bad terrible being sick when you are a mom, no one to pamper you....except my 3 year old and 18 month old, who are in the same snotty boat as me. jeff is at work, so i still have to function and do everything as usually, no lying i the bed all day, or on the couch watching tv dozing in and out. it is the worst thing ever....being sick with kids stinks! i did manage to use it to my best last night though. i played the i am so sick and pregnant and your mom is coming into town, the house is a mess....oh what do i do....and on top of that i cant take ANY medicine....woe is me....it got the house cleaned and the laundry folded :)
well i will not end my first blog with all complaints, i did get a new flat top range for mothers day! it looks very nice. the bottom drawer actually closes all the way and sits completely straight. the burners are all level so when i cook pancakes they will not automatically be ovals and i wont have to fight for them not to run into each other and my over easy eggs will be round and not that weird shape from rolling around the edge of the pan, which makes it hard to fit on biscuits or croissants.....i hope this blog will satisfy my sister and i can be moved off the list......
